Your Computer Privacy
One of the ways spyware effects us is that it slows down our computers and even has the ability to shut down our computer operations all together, if we let it get a toehold! As bad as this is, it is not all spyware can do to us!
Let's first clear up a very common error in terminology. Spyware is one simple form of Malware. Malware is really our most formidable enemy. Spyware is a tool of Malware. So is Adware, Trojans, Keyloggers and other heinous tools thrown at us by these low life forms that use these horrible scripts to invade our privacy. The scripts are Malicious Software Scripts; hence the contraction of Malicious Software, Malware.
This is not to say Spyware is innocuous, even though it is tame when compared to some other forms of Malware. Spyware is out to find what your shopping habits are. Other forms of Malware can follow you right to the Website's you are visiting and take a snapshot of that very page. What if this page was your bank's Website with all your banking information on it? It doesn't take a great imagination for you to suspect what these most ruthless of computer hacking thugs will do with this information, does it?!
The privacy thieves who are out to destroy your freedom to roam the net without worry, have many other tools at their disposal as well. One of these is the keylogger. As the name implies, a keylogger will record every keystroke you make, and since you are being followed with other tools from Website to Website, these invaders can figure out when a series of keystrokes are entered into your password box.
So, even though somebody looking over your shoulder will only see "********," the human debris stealthily following you around via Malware will see, brightly and clearly: MypA33w0rD. I don't even want to think what they might do with that one!
I have been hit by Malware and it ain't pretty! Somebody figured out the password to one of my Email accounts and used this account to Email out millions of pornographic SPAM Emails! Needless to say, this is the last thing I would have liked to be caught doing because it is the last thing I would do. Boy, would I like to meet one of these cowards face to face! Of course you know, I never will because they are, indeed, cowards. So what can I do?
I've used, with the greatest of effectiveness Xoftspy Spyware/Malware Cleaner. I believe it is the most advanced Malware eliminator around today. Xoftspy has been an old stand by for quite a while and has always been held the highest regard by those who work on computers professionally. I have gotten nothing but praise about this Antispyware program from my customers to whom have recommenced it. You got to figure, if I didn't think it was the best, I wouldn't be using it on this computer which I am now writing this article!
I realize this Website is mostly about Registry Clean and Repair Tools. And, yes, they are very important! In fact, after the Malware/Spyware has been cleaned from a computer, the computer is aided greatly by a registry cleaning. This is because Spyware and the like are computer programs and after they are deleted, false entries are left in the registry and they need to be removed. Only a good registry cleaner can do this. If false entries are left in the registry, the computer will slow down. It's as simple as that.
There is one more type of privacy issue you should know or perhaps you already do know about. It is computer terminal privacy. In other words, if anybody were to ever log on to your computer, what would they find. Can you explain certain sites you have been on that in actuality you never might have been on at all? Even if these sites were blocked popups they could get logged into your history.
I'm always thinking, "What if God should call me to the great beyond? What might someone think they have found out about me posthumously if something like this happened? Sad thought, I know! But I don't want my computer's history cleaned by Microsoft's rinky dinky delete history function. I want it done very dependable high tech software.
Let me just conclude this thought by letting you see what I'm talking about. You find what I'm talking about on this Site: Privacy Controls
So, there you have it. Today we must protect ourselves from the inside and out. We need AntiSpyware Protection, Privacy Controls and yes, Ed Lathrop probably wouldn't like it much if I used his Website without mention of our favorite Registry Cleaner... No bull, it really is the best!
